The Conference focusses on:

  • Big Data and Industry 4.0
  • Ethical reflections connected with Big Data
  • Big Data strategies, challenges and opportunities from ’reality’
  • Big Data, statistics and DOE (Design Of Experiments)

Presenters

The Big Data conference offers six exciting presenters, each contributing with their perspective on Big Data. The speakers are:

1. Marcus Sørensen – ’Big Data as concept and use’

How does Big Data relate to Industri 4.0? And how does Big Data create new possibilities for companies, if you understand to use Big data as a concept and know about the many opportunities Big Data offers? In this presentation Marcus reveals the opportunities of Big Data, and provides concrete examples of, how to work with Big Data. Marcus Sørensen is engineer, and work as Six Sigma consultant at Storm – House of Six Sigma.

2. Vibeke Bagger – ’Big Data, certification and benchmarking’

How can Big Data within certification create new opportunities? Benchmarking within own organisation, business and between geograhic areas now allows that organisations can gain new insights and basis for decisionmaking in the quality improvement work. Vibeke will introduce a new benchmarking technology presentet through a case within the food business. Vibeke Bagger works as Food Development Manager at DNV GL, and is also part of the board of directions in Dansk Forening for Kvalitet (DFK).

3. Gry Høngsmark Knudsen – ’Data in an organisational perspective’

How can organisations create insights based on digital/online user data? And how does digital data require new ways to relate to on another, new forms of cooperation in organisations and new ethical practices in relation to dealing with data? Gry will in this presentation speak more about the organisational opportunities and challenges that comes from the Big Data culture. Gry Høngsmark Knudsen is Lector, PhD, within Marketing and Management at Southern University of Denmark.

4. Per Vase – ’Roadmap to Big Data – how do we harvest along the way?’

Before entering in to the Big Data area, many companies could benefit from using more classical data analysis techniques, which can bring huge benefits concerning yields, capacity and quality. The roadmap from passive product verification, over process verification to active process control will be shown. The latter requires intensive use of Design of Experiments to know what to monitor and how to act. When all fruits are harvested following on this roadmap, Big Data will be the natural next step to optimize and keep models updated. But are you there today? Per Vase is Managing Partner at NNE.

5. Malcolm Moore – ’Big Data needs DOE (Design of Experiments)’

How does organisations determine whether Big Data approaches is right for one’s organisation without investing in large data infrastructure project from the beginning? In this presentation Malcolm describes, in simple and understandable terms, what Big Data methods is, how they connect with R&D and production, and how we can use data more efficiently in daily decision-making – among other with focus on DOE (Design Of Experiments). Malcolm Moore is Technical Manager at the statistical software provider SAS. NB! This presentation will be in English.

6. Marianne Toft – ’Big Data strategy at Novozymes’

How can a Big Data strategy look like? Novozymes has recently initiated a Big Data project focusing on production data. Marianne will in this presentation tell much more about Novozymes’ Big Data strategy, where there among other is build a cloud based platform for all process data, supporting the organisations with advanced analysis. Marianne Toft is Data Science Architect at Novozymes.
