A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is the beginning of a personal journey of learning and knowledge. You can expect inspiration and learning within several disciplines, regardless of how you decide to build your Green Bellt process. This means that new tools and methodologies will change your perspective of the professional skills you already possess.

 

You will be able to

  • Support improvement initiatives at a strategic level as well as facilitate improvements at an operational level; including using data driven understanding for more complex challenges
  • Use the improvement toolbox in your daily life – not only through projects but also through a changed way of thinking about data and problems.
  • Distinguish between external and internal customer needs and make customer needs operational and measurable in respect to the process output.
  • Understand the importance of data and use measurement system analysis to ensure valid data.
  • Use of statistical process control (SPC) as a management tool within production and administration.
  • Implement structured root cause analysis with the DMAIC improvement method – supplemented with statistical hypothesis tests and Design of Experiments (DOE) as essential tools.
  • Use several types of process mapping tools for root cause analysis and design of future processes.
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions, develop solutions and make cost-benefit considerations.
  • Complete and implement improvements – including ensuring relevant control and response plans for processes.

 

With Lean tools you will be able to

  • Develop value stream analysis (Value Stream Mapping / VSM).
  • Analyze value stream analysis with a focus on waste, tact and lead times.
  • Identify current and designing future processes as well as gap analysis.
  • Organize Kaizen initiatives.
  • Use Poke Yoke for fail safety.
  • Use SMED thinking to minimize change and change-over time.

You might need to work with statistical software for some analyses. In case, this is a new challenge for you: Don't be scared - we will help you.

Last but not least – you have the opportunity to get a certificate and complete an actual DMAIC – improvement project. This will ensure your own practical learning and significant and lasting improvements in your organization.

If you only want to focus at classic Six Sigma

We recommend, that you let Lean be a part of your learning journey. It gives a more complete toolbox, when working with process improvements.

You do also have the opportunity just to focus at classic Six Sigma, learning how to use DMAIC methodology. If so, just choose the Six Sigma Green Belt certification. It will be only 7 days of training - and the price will also be lowered.

You will still get access to projectwork days, individual coaching, exam, certification etc.

In doubt about what to choose, we will be happy to help. It is your choice. And if you decide to add Lean later on, we will make it work as well.

Supplement of a Green Belt – when it fits into your everyday life

You can increase your skills by supplementing your Green Belt training with Black Belt courses. This will enable you to work with multidisciplinary and cross-functional and / or statistically complicated quality improvements.

    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

    Our classic Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training consists of 9 course days.

    Yellow Belt/DMAIC – understanding (3 days): Gives you a thoroughly knowledge of how you can work with improvements with Six Sigma – thinking and the basic and fundamental insight in the DMAIC – methodology.

    Data based decisions (1 day): This day will give you insight of methods and tools to find, manage and implement objective and strong decisions. Furthermore, also verification of data by using measurement system Gage – R&R.

    Statistical process control (SPC) and capability 1 (1 day): This day is all about how to use control-cards and capability on normal distributed and non-normal distributed data.

    Data driven causal analysis (1 day): This day will provide knowledge of causal analysis by focusing on probability, probability distribution and hypothesis test regression analysis.

    Change and anchoring (1 day) is about “making things happen”. Regardless, many changes are “a 90% people deal” which means that there is a need of supplementing the good project models with understanding of both involvement and active control

    Lean Yellow Belt (2 days): introduces within the fundamental Lean-principles, methods and concrete tools. There will be supplemented with examples and practical exercises and dialogues.

    Some of our course participants experience, that they might need extra teaching time to ensure better knowledge of statistical software (MiniTab or SAS Jmp). This training will take place at a separate day.

     

    DMAIC-project as a part of your Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training

    To become a certified Green Belt you must complete a practical DMAIC project. This is where you get the opportunity to try out your new knowledge in practice. This is also where you can create the actual improvements and results in your own organization.

    To support the project and become certified you are invited to participate in our projectworkdays, which are held every 3. - 4. week. You can join as many projectworkdays as you want to - from first training session till you hold a certificate in your hand.

    You will find both teachers and other students who are working on their improvement projects. It allows for common sparring, reflection, and not least inspiration.

    You sign up for the projectworkdays by accepting the bookings we will make. You can join virtually from your office or home - and your are wlecone to let us know, if you want to come to our office in Holte.

    In addition, you get 5 x 1.5 hours of individual project coaching.

    Remember that you have a maximum of two years to complete your project to become certified.

     

    Your Green Belt training can be tailored so that it suits both you and your organization’s needs. You gain the level of practitioner, that matches or exceeds international Lean Six Sigma standards and with an approved and completed project you achieve certification.     Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic

    With a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic, you choose a more compressed training process, with minor focus on your own practice.

    With this Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic training, will you complete 9 course days in Lean Six Sigma, where you will put theory into practice through a common case  and exercises with the other participants. This mean that you will be educated and examined Lean Six sigma Green Belt in only 9 days.

    Attention, please note that this training does not cover the requirements described in ISO1353 and ISO18404. If you wish to ensure that you can refer to these standards, then you must attend a Classical Six Sigma Green Belt training instead.

     

    To whom addresses the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic?

    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic training is for you, who wish to acquire knowledge and competences within the basic Lean Six Sigma tools, trough a fast but effective process of only 9 days.

    This training is also for you that not necessarily have a need of learning the big statistical analysis, but primarily wishes insight of the most essential statistical tools for the daily management and process work.

    You will get inside in the necessary tool to plan, create and implement process improvements within your organization. You get plenty of sparring and practical exercises which will give you new inspiration and motivation.

    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic, is for you that doesn’t have the need of implementing the Lean Six Sigma tools in your own practice during the training. Do you have specific issues, and wish to use Lean Six Sigma to solve them, then you should consider attending the classic Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, where you will have the opportunity to use the DMAIC-project within your own organization.

     

    Content of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic

    The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic is a 9 day training, with the following content:

    Next Level of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic:

    You will always have the opportunity to take your Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Basic to a classic certificated Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Here you will use the tools in practice and within your own organization trough the DMAIC-project.

    You can also choose to acquire Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, by attending a classic Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training at Storm or via our Black Belt e-learning for a more flexible and time consuming process.

    With a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, you will acquire competences to work more multidisciplinary and cross-functional, with more complicated statistical analysis and quality improvements.

    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt e-learning

    If you thrive with flexible planning or want a speeded-up process of your Green Belt training, then our online training might be something for you. This allow you to control the speed, and with the opportunity to connect your new knowledge to your own everyday practice.

    We will connect you to our e-learning and supplement it with the opportunity to discuss learning and reflect on the project.

    All the training material is in English, but all of your learning can be in Danish, through dialogue with our expert instructor, and trough other materials, which is to be found on our e-learning platform.

    The e-learning will be 42 hours, which you can attend at your own speed, and find tests and measurements of your progress. We plan the process with your ambitions and everyday life. The common dialogue and reflection lasts 1,5 hour after the end of each of the DMAIC phases. It will be planned at the beginning of the training. This will provide insight and an opportunity to be well prepared. And also ensure you to know your own plan and make it fit your everyday life.

    At these online sessions we will also review theory, and how you can implement the tools and thinking in your everyday life during your training.

     

    You can complete an online Six Sigma Green Belt in three different ways

    1. To pass the theoretical exam, so that you can be examined in Green belt.
    2. Pick an online certification where you pass the theoretical exam and supplement with an online DMAIC-simulation. This will ensure that you get practical experience using the DMAIC- method as well as the most essential tools in every phase.
      • This opportunity requires additionally 12 hours of practical exercises using DMAIC. The course is virtual and is a part of our platform of e-learning.
    1. Pick a practical certification where you pass the theoretical exam and supplement with a DMAIC-project in your daily work. This will ensure that you get solid experience with actual use of the DMAIC-method, where you contribute to solving a complex problem in your own organization, and by that creating actual improvements.
      • Here, your online learning will be supplemented with online workdays, and you will be having an ongoing dialogue with one of our educators. There will be room for discussing how to apply theory and tools. You will get sparring on how to complete the concrete issues - and there will be room for discussing with other participants. Also, you can choose to participate in our “physical” work days. Here the participants will be gathered at our place in Holte - which gives space for networking, technical discussing and time for focus on your own project.
      • Finally, this opportunity will give you project focused coaching, where we will be discussing your concrete project and help you so that you can call yourself "certified Green belt”.

     

    Supplement to a Black Belt

    Are you drawn by DMAIC as a method and would like to go further, you can get a Black belt course, which helps you drive transverse and very complex DMAIC-projects.

     

    Our configuration makes it possible for you to continue training and become Black Belt by using e-learning, or if you prefer - follow the traditional Black Belt training by classroom teaching.
